ISO 39001:2012

The norm is applicable to road-handling and maintenance companies (traffic safety) but also to professional carriers (trucks and buses)

ISO 39001: 2012 sets out requirements for a road traffic management system (RTS) to enable an organization that communicates with the road traffic system to reduce death and serious injury related to traffic accidents that may be affected. The requirements of ISO 39001: 2012 include the development and implementation of appropriate RTS policies, the development of RTS goals and action plans, which take into account the legal and other requirements the organization has mandated and information on RTS elements and criteria that the organization identifies as RTS which can be controlled and those that can be affected.
