ISO 45001:2018
With this certification, the organization proves to have a managed, maintained and improved business system through controlled documentation. Environmental aspects are defined by risk analysis and all preventive actions have been taken to prevent environmental pollution. The processes are controlled and the system is managed.
ISO 45001: 2018 specifies requirements for the Health and Safety Management System (OH & S) at work and provides guidelines for its use to provide organizations with safe and healthy work, prevention of work injury and poor health and proactive improvement of their OH & S performance.
ISO 45001: 2018 applies to any organization that wants to establish, implement and maintain the OH & S management system to improve health and safety at work, eliminate dangers and minimize OH & S risks (including system deficiencies), exploit OH & Opportunities and addressing OH & S’s management of system non-compliance related to its activities.
ISO 45001: 2018 helps the organization achieve the desired outcomes of its OH & S management system. In line with OH & S’s policy, the expected OH & S management system outcomes include:
a) constant improvement of OH & S performance;
b) fulfillment of legal requirements and other requirements;
c) achieving the goals of OH & S.
ISO 45001: 2018 applies to any organization regardless of size, type, and activity. Applies to OH & S risks under the control of the organization, taking into account factors such as the context in which the organization operates and the needs and expectations of its workers and other interested parties.
ISO 45001: 2018 does not specify specific criteria for OH & S performance.
ISO 45001: 2018 enables the organization, through its OH & S management system, to integrate other aspects of health and safety, such as employee benefits.
ISO 45001: 2018 does not deal with issues such as product safety, property damage or environmental impact, except for workers and other relevant stakeholders.
ISO 45001: 2018 can be used in full or in part to systematically improve health and safety at work. However, claims to comply with this document are not acceptable unless all of its requirements are incorporated into the OH & S organization management system and are enforced without exception.
