ISO 22716:2007
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) System in Cosmetic Production. Any company or craft that works on some cosmetic products such as: powders, creams, tonics, lotions must have implemented this system. There are many ways in which a cosmetic product can be contaminated with microorganisms. They are then propagated to create a high number of bacteria that can cause adverse effects on product quality and consumer health, from infections to severe allergic reactions.
ISO 22716: 2007 provides guidelines for the production, control, storage and shipping of cosmetic products.
These guidelines cover aspects of product quality, but do not generally cover the aspects of security for staff involved in the plant or cover aspects of environmental protection.
Guidelines from ISO 22716: 2007 are not applicable to research and development activities and distribution of finished products.
