ISO 41001:2018
ISO 41001:2018 specifies their equirements for a facility management (FM) system when an organization:
a) needs to demonstrate effective and efficient delivery of FM that supports the objectives of the demand organization;
b) aims to consistently meet the needs of interested parties and applicable requirements;
c) aims to besustainablein a globally-competitive environment.
There quirements specified in ISO 41001:2018 are non-sectorspecific and intended to be applicable to all organizations, or parts there of, whether public or private sector, and regardless of the type, size and nature of the organization or geographical location.

ISO 41001, Facility management – Management systems – Requirements with guidance for use, has just been published to help FM team sachieve optimum efficiency. Drawing on international best practice, the new management system standard constitutes a benchmark for developing and driving an effective strategic, tactical and operational FM regime. It will also assist organization sseeking to outsource FM, as those providers who are able to demonstrate compliance with the standard will provide them with anassurance regarding their approach and processes.
Chairof ISO/TC 267, Facility management, the ISO technical committee that developed the standard, said ISO 41001 will assist organizations in a number of ways by establishing a common approach and a set of processes that can be referred to around the world.
